Pills are inherently evil for some reason by Gavalanche Pills are inherently evil for some reason by Gavalanche
I finally had a chance to sit down and do some artwork today. Should I finish those commissions first? How about that special request I've been dawdling on for over a month now? The next Date Night? Cindy has been awfully quiet lately. For that matter, Ask Any-pony has been virtually abandoned!

I go on Ponibooru to see what the current trends are and find this. [link]

NEVER MIND THE COMIC (it's cute), read the comments and be prepared to become not smarterer!

Anyway, the idea of automatically having the type of tard-rage, temper-tantrum a 6 year old would typically have on the internet for the rest of the world to see because in your warped mind a character who has anxiety problems (which is 100% fucking canon! In "bird in the hoof" Fluttershy flat out tells Twilight she has anxiety problems in crowds.) taking pills to help her cope is somehow worse than seeing futashy fuck futashy in the ass is what inspired this piece.

Drawn in haste, because I didn't want to waste one more minute on this junk comic than I absolutely had to.

I think I accidently just created a prediction comic for tomorrow's episode.

Damn, i suffer from anxiety attacks in real life... know the feel of it; you can't even hear yourself, think of anything, start sweating like a pig, having this disgusting feeling in both hands. You get paralized.
Can't blame Twalah (i lol'd) but seriously, YOU ONLY WANT TO TAKE THE FREAKING PILLS!!! :iconpillsplz::iconnaoplz:

First all, I really liked this comic. I also saw the other person's comic and I thought it was fine and did not deserve that or any kind of backlash. Now excuse me while I step on that soapbox over there (steps up).

I will preface this by saying this more about about the attitudes a lot of people have about mental health services and medication in general than about ponies having mental health issues There is nothing wrong with taking anti-anxiety or any mental health medication as long as there is a legitimate, clinical reason for taking them. It's just like taking blood pressure medication or pain medication. If there is a diagnosable disorder (from testing and psychiatry assessment) and the medication is taken as prescribed, then a person should be looked down or be thought of as a lesser person simply because they are taking a mental health medicine. (steps off soapbox)

I actually would like to see a continuation of this comic if you feel inspired to do so. Once again I really enjoyed this and forward to your next comic.

I lol'd. And apparently Ponibooru sucks. I was wondering where the faggotry in the fandom was concentrated.

Lol dude, yeah.
The response on Ponibooru was absolutely absurd, but I guess that's what I get for pissing off the fluttershy fans.
I guess I'll have to do it even more and not resolve the issue until a much later story arc. :3

And this is awesome, by the way. XD

Honestly the anon who made the first comment that started everything didn't even bother me. They obviously had some ax to grind on some barely related issue and was just venting like an upset 12 year old (probably is an upset 12 year old too!). What really irked me was all the idiots who jumped in and tried to put on some sort of air of moral superiority by making terribly constructed arguments about why both the anon commenter and you, the artist, were equally wrong.

I'm not certain if you were originally setting out to troll the fans or not. I don't think you were, but then I've never set out to do it either. Sometimes it just happens, but sometimes... especially after episodes and event like this... it's nice to know that there will be certain people who just do not see the humor of the situation you portray and take things way too seriously. In those cases it's great knowing that just the right people got pissed off.

I will be very disappointed to not see Fluttershy with lots and lots of pills in the future.

Oh no, my intention wasn't to troll the fans at all. It was honestly a logical progression of the character, as well as trying to figure out what I could do to add in new quirks, along with an iconic accessory, like Stalkerloo's turtleneck or Twilight's gestapo hat. Thinking how she had anxiety issues, plus how she took care of animals, a red cross bag full of anxiety pills just seemed to be a perfect fit. That and it allows for a LOT of comedic potential.
And yeah, for the most part, the arguments were horribly constructed and hypocritical. That's fine, though, they just gave me another reason not to visit Ponibooru again. If they want to act that way, I just won't interface with them. No skin off my nose.
Heh, I definitely agree. Those people who take the show and fandom way too seriously... I don't mind trolling them. They need to grow up and learn to separate reality from fiction, along with being able to tolerate ideas they may not agree with.
And no worries. I have lots of plans for pilled-out Fluttershy, from calling Big Macintosh a tomato to finally standing up to Angel bunny, and much, much more.
